Translated from Tibetan by Jim Valby. This book is a translation of pages 84 to 165 of The Great History of the Innermost Essence of Dzogchen. It is possible that in the fourteenth century AD Longchenpa wrote down this history about Dzogchen Masters who lived from about the third century BC to the ninth century AD.
