In the center of the painting is the golden seed syllable TAM, representing the goddess Tara. This is surrounded on the left and right by two invocations described in the book
“Guru Arya Tara and her Twenty-One Praises”by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu. On the left, “OM JÉZUNMA PÀGMA DRÓLMA KYEDLA DÙDDO…” and on the right the invocation composed by the great master Atisha, “JÉZUN PÀGMA DRÓLMA KYED KYÈNNO…” On the top left is a white syllable Ah, emanating rays of multi-colored lights. On the top right are the celestial spheres: the stars, sun, & moon. Around a pink flower appears the long-life mantra of White Tara. Below in larger Uchen letters are the two main mantras of Green Tara: “OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SVAHA,” followed by “OM TARE TAM SVAHA.”
The original is painted in acrylic paint on an exotic textured Nepali paper with bamboo leaves. The texture of the original paper is well represented in the print.
