Tibetan Medicine Cards

These notecards are reproduced from illustrations in a seventeenth-century commentary on the Four Tantras, an ancient medical text of uncertain origin. That commentary--often referred to as the Blue Beryl treatise--together with the Four Tantras, form the basis of traditional Tibetan medicine, which brings together cosmic, meteorological, physiological, and pathological phenomena in a rationally ordered conceptual framework.
